Don Bosco Ashalayam
Don Bosco Ashalayam is a boarding program to help at-risk and street children.
There are six main locations in and around Kolkata with the main branch in Howrah. The children are given shelter, food, and clothes to cover all their basic needs.
Additionally their goals are to provide children with not only academic training, but vocational education as well. Children learn trade skills in addition to basic reading, writing, and math. Don Bosco has many success stories with students who have gone on to study higher education and even working at companies overseas in Dubai and other countries. After the program is completed at Don Bosco, they help the graduates find jobs and even help the young girls with their dowry for marriage.
